Lead Optometrist
Purvi is an exceptionally experienced specialist optometrist after completing her training at Aston University. She has worked with us since 2014, and has specific training and expertise in working with patients who require vision correction, such as laser eye surgery or refractive lens exchange surgery. She also has specialist training as an Optometrist to deal with various eye conditions, such as dry eye disease. Purvi gained her Independent prescribing qualification in 2020.
Specialist Optometrist
Caoimhe is an experienced optometrist. She has worked in refractive surgery for a number of years and gained her Independent prescribing qualification in July 2020. She carries out pre-operative assessments for new refractive and general ophthalmology consultations. She is also responsible of carrying out post-operative consultations for refractive and cataract surgery patients. She works alongside the consultants to ensure every patient achieves the best possible surgical outcome.
Nathanael is a principal optometrist working at Moorfields and OCL Vision. He has a wealth of clinical experience, which currently includes private laser and refractive surgery assessment, corneal, A&E, urgent care, glaucoma, adult and paediatric refraction and medical contact lens experience. He is also the lead optometrist for the urgent care service at the hospital. Since qualifying in 2007, Nathanael has achieved post-graduate qualifications in glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and healthcare leadership. He is also an independent prescribing optometrist and completed his Masters in Clinical Optometry with distinction.
Anthony is a very experienced Optometrist and advanced diagnostics expert. He will carry out comprehensive scans and tests before you go through and meet your surgeon. The testing is all quite fun and nothing to be worried about. The tests give the surgeons the most advanced maps and information available about your eyes so that they can give you fully customised treatment options to help you decide what the best plan should be.
Theatre Lead
Marta qualified as a nurse in 2003 and started working in ophthalmology in 2006. The ophthalmology field has fascinated her so much that she has not left the specialty since then. She started her career in Spain and has worked in different countries around the world, such as the UK and United Arab Emirates. She joined us as a Theatre lead in January 2021. She leads our clinical team to ensure that we provide the best quality of care for our patients. She is passionate about her job and patient care and shares our company values.
Registered Nurse
Ronald is a qualified registered nurse with years of experience working in various healthcare settings such as nursing homes, hospital ward and hospital theatres. He has been working in theatres for more than six years and developed and maintained the knowledge and skills to be able to scrub or circulate for various ophthalmic, general and orthopaedic surgical procedures. Working at OCL Vision provides him with an opportunity to expand his capabilities and strengths by working with our highly skilled, successful world recognised eye surgeons and an amazing team that brings different and complementary skills and expertise.
Ophthalmic Technician
Becky has been our Theatre Technician since December 2019. She is extremely experienced having worked with various refractive lasers and specialist diagnostic equipment for over 10 years. You will meet Becky when you come in for your consultation and on treatment days and she will put you at ease with her calm manner and sense of humour. Becky has a love for animals and is a proud owner of a pug called Maisie and a cat called Fluffy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going for a run with Maisie the pug, shopping and socialising with friends and family.
Jonathan joined OCL Vision team in June 2020 after having previously worked as an Ophthalmic Technician at various hospitals across the country for 7 years. He has an eye for detail and is very precise with data and diagnostics scans. You will meet Jonathan in the clinic during your initial consultation and follow up appointments. Jonathan is an aspiring Optometrist and is planning to start his degree in September 2021. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his fiancée and their Working Spaniel Molly, travelling in a caravan and going for long walks.
Stanka joined us in 2021, having 12 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician. Her main tasks include circulating in the operating theatre, laser operating, recovering patients and diagnostics. She takes pride in her professional approach and work ethic.
Consultant Physicist
Marie Restori is an experienced Consultant Physicist. She is an international expert in Diagnostic Ophthalmic Ultrasound with several decades of experience and has performed over a quarter of a million diagnostic scans at Moorfields Eye Hospital. She pioneered the use of real-time B-Mode, Colour Flow Mapping and Spectral Doppler techniques in Ophthalmology. Marie now works as Consultant Physicist seeing adults at our clinic in Central London. In the private sector she holds an Honorary Contract with Moorfields Research.
Administration Manager
Lowenna has over 14 years’ experience in customer service spending the last 5 years in private healthcare always ensuring a 5-star standard is maintained, Lowenna is responsible for OCL’s fantastic administration team and very passionate about delivering an efficient and excellent patient journey. She supports the running of the clinic and senior management team. Lowenna enjoys the diversity of her role, working with an amazing team and interacting with our delightful patients.
Senior Patient Co-ordinator (Surgery/Follow-up Team)
Eszter started her journey in ophthalmology back in May 2017 May as a receptionist. She then moved to an optical advisor role, mainly dispensing glasses. After that she became a patient advisor, dealing only with surgery patients. She then joined us as a patient coordinator in 2021. Her main tasks include scheduling surgeries, and follow-ups, helping patients with relevant documents, and providing them with information about the process of their surgery and recovery.
Patient Co-ordinator (Surgery/Follow-up Team)
Hannah joined us as a patient coordinator in the Surgery/Follow-Up team in April 2022. She has 3 years of experience in the healthcare sector. The main tasks in her role include booking surgeries and follow-ups, answering questions from patients, and making surgery packs. She has previously worked for The London Clinic and completed a chemistry degree at Keele University.
Blessed joined us in August 2022. She has over two years of experience with the health sector and over 6 years as a customer service advisor. She loves maintaining and building strong and healthy relationships with team members and customers.
Patient Co-ordinator (New Enquiries Team)
Suheyla has around one year of admin experience in the private healthcare sector. Her main tasks are getting new patients booked and matching them to the correct consultants. She also deals with referrals as soon as they come in and answers phone calls regarding new enquiries. She loves being able to chat with patients and figure out the best eye care for each unique case.
Safina has been working at OCL Vision for over one year. She has ten years of customer service experience and enjoys working at OCL Vision as a New Enquiries Patient Co-ordinator, helping patients with their enquiries and booking their initial consultation and follow-up appointments. She also loves interacting with them over the phone. In her spare time, Safina enjoys cooking for friends and family, going to the gym and keeping fit.
Receptionist
Sabrina has over 10 years of experience in customer service and over 3 years of administrative experience. Sabrina, along with the rest of the reception team, maintains a welcoming environment in the reception area, as well as booking, follow-up appointments, arranging surgeries and ensuring all patients are taken care of with a helpful approach.
Erika has experience with healthcare administration within the NHS and has had many years working in customer service. Erika will help with booking follow-up appointments, maintaining the reception waiting area and helping patients with any other enquiries.
Receptionist (Elstree)
Estelle joined us as a Receptionist in our Elstree Clinic in April 2022. She liaises with clients’ requirements and assists them with refreshments daily. She always ensures reception is well presented & maintained. She prepares the paperwork for surgery and practitioners. She checks our stock in the clinic including stationaries and branded materials. She has had over 30 years of experience in the following roles: administration manager, customer services, transport manager, accounts assistant, and receptionist.
Chloe has worked for the NHS for 6 years as a receptionist and medical secretary and joined us as a receptionist in our newest Clinic in Elstree in 2022. She enjoys working on the clinical side of things and enjoys working with everyone at OCL vision.
IT Support
Themi has worked in IT & Customer Service for over 5+ years, and he enjoys working within a forward-thinking, progressive team where he is able to support the people around him. Themi also holds an avid interest in pop culture, football, music & trainers.
Administrative Support
Madge is a crucial part of the administration team and has been transcribing our clinic letters and medical reports for the last 7 years. She has over 25 years of experience, initially working as a legal secretary before qualifying as a paralegal. Madge went on to set up her own ‘virtual secretarial’ business 10 years ago and now works freelance for certain medical and legal teams.
