He was selected for two advanced fellowship training programmes in medical retina and uveitis at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust and the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. Over the last 3 years he has been the clinical lead at East Sussex NHS trust and the South East Eye Surgeons. He has published extensively in peer reviewed journals and has had many poster presentations in national and international meetings. He attends conferences every year to advance his knowledge and training in most recent developments in ophthalmology.
He loves to teach and has been instrumental in local training and development of nurse injectors and optometrists assessors in extended roles currently trending in many NHS hospitals. He is married to Ellie and has two beautiful daughters Ayla and Ava.
Mr Kashani strives to keep up to date with the latest technology and innovations in the world of ophthalmology by attending national and international meetings on a regular basis. Throughout his career, he has been active in the area of clinical research with over 30 publications in peer journals and a similar number of posters and presentations in various national and international ophthalmic meetings.
He is an avid supporter of extended roles for Allied Health Care professionals in ophthalmology. He has been instrumental in the development and training of non-medical injectors in his current unit, East Sussex, and has been integral in recruitment and training of community opticians in management retinal disorders in a hospital setting.
