ICL Care Package

OCL Vision’s one-year ICL care package applies to patients who have undergone Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery at OCL Vision to correct:

• Myopia (short-sightedness) with or without astigmatism
• Hyperopia (long-sightedness) with or without astigmatism

This care package covers the first 12 months following the date of the original ICL surgery.

1.      What Is Included?

Subject to clinical assessment and suitability, the following may be included within the first year:

• ICL exchange (for example, due to sizing, vault-related issues, or refractive outcome), if deemed clinically necessary
• Laser vision correction top-up (e.g. LASIK or LASEK), if deemed clinically appropriate

All additional procedures are entirely at the discretion of the treating surgeon and must meet all safety and eligibility criteria at the time of assessment.

2.      Eligibility Criteria

This care package:

• Applies only to first-time ICL procedures performed at OCL Vision
• Does not apply to patients who have had previous refractive or intraocular surgery at another clinic
• Applies only to conditions directly related to the original ICL procedure

3.      Exclusions

This one-year ICL care package does not cover:

• Eye conditions unrelated to the original ICL surgery
• Age-related changes, including presbyopia (loss of near vision)
• Refractive changes caused by ocular disease, trauma, systemic illness, or medication
• Treatment of cataract, glaucoma, retinal disease, or any other non-refractive pathology
• Technologies or treatments not available at OCL Vision at the time of the original surgery

4.      Clinical Suitability

• An ICL exchange or laser enhancement will only be offered if our assessment confirms that the procedure is safe and appropriate
• If you are not clinically suitable, or if further intervention is not recommended, you are not entitled to a refund, compensation, or alternative procedure
• Clinical judgement remains solely with OCL Vision’s surgeons

5.      Alternative Procedures

If a laser enhancement is not suitable but an alternative refractive procedure is recommended (including lens-based surgery), standard clinic fees will apply. Please contact us for further information.

6.      Conditions, Exclusions and Limitations

• This care package covers surgical fees if additional procedures are required (e.g. ICL exchange / laser top up)
• It also includes additional diagnostic tests as and when required over the initial 1 year period.
• Any procedure performed outside the 12-month period will be subject to normal fees
• This care package is non-transferable
• It cannot be extended beyond 12 months
• It does not constitute a guarantee of refractive outcome
• Participation in this one-year ICL care package does not remove or replace the requirement for patients to attend scheduled follow-up appointments or comply with post-operative instructions.
