Ectropion
Ectropion is a condition where the eyelid, most often the lower eyelid, turns outward away from the eye.
This causes the inner surface of the eyelid to be exposed, which can lead to dryness, irritation, watery eyes, and an increased risk of infection. Ectropion is commonly linked to ageing, scarring, or muscle weakness. Treatment options vary depending on severity and often involve corrective eyelid surgery to restore comfort and protect the eye.
