Ptosis
Ptosis, also known as droopy eyelid, is a condition where the upper eyelid droops lower than normal.
It can affect one or both eyes and may partially cover the pupil, leading to reduced vision in severe cases. Ptosis can occur at any age, from birth (congenital ptosis) or later in life due to ageing, muscle weakness, or nerve damage. Treatment usually involves ptosis surgery to lift the eyelid, improving both appearance and visual function.
