Xanthelasma

Xanthelasma refers to soft, yellowish cholesterol deposits that appear on or around the eyelids.

These patches are usually harmless but can be a sign of high cholesterol levels or underlying health conditions. Although xanthelasma does not typically affect vision, many people choose to have it removed for cosmetic reasons. Treatments may include laser therapy, surgical excision, or chemical peels.
