All consultation fees are taken at the time of booking. Failure to attend or cancel the appointment without 48 hours notice will lead to the charge not being refunded.

*We offer FREE laser consultations. However, a £50 refundable booking fee is required to secure the consultation. The fee will be refunded should you decide not to proceed with surgery, regardless of the outcome of your initial consultation, or deducted from your total surgery price.

**Corneal scans charged at £50. Glaucoma scans are £150 each or £300 for a bundle of three. Retina scans are £200 each, you will likely have to have 2 scans.

***Your confirmed appointment is for an initial consultation, please be advised if you are seeking a clinical second opinion, additional charges will apply for a second opinion consultation.

Insurance options

We provide fee assured services at our Central London and Elstree clinics and surgery facilities including cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, treatment of macular degeneration and most other aspects of ophthalmology.

We are part of the AXA PPP and BUPA cataract networks meaning that if you’re insured with these companies, we will bill your insurer a pre-agreed package price to include your cataract consultation, diagnostic tests, surgery and aftercare. Our full list of insurance partners are: Aetna, Allianz, Aviva, Bupa, Bupa International, Cigna, AXA PPP and all subsidiaries (northern friendly, Health-on-line, saga, Exeter Friendly etc), Vitality, WPA, General and Medical Healthcare. We also accept embassy patients.

For those seeking independence from from glasses and contact lenses following cataract surgery, we often recommend premium lenses. The cost of premium lenses is generally not covered by insurers. Please see our insurance page for more details on the uplift fees for each type of lens.
