TREATMENT OPTIONS
What are the treatment options for oculoplastic surgery at OCL Vision?
From droopy eyelids and under-eye bags to chalazion removal and cosmetic blepharoplasty, OCL Vision offers a comprehensive range of oculoplastic treatments delivered by highly experienced consultants. Whether you're seeking surgery for medical reasons or aesthetic improvement, we provide safe, effective, and carefully tailored solutions. Using the latest techniques in a hospital-grade environment, our team focuses on natural-looking results and your long-term eye health, helping you see and feel your best.
Upper Blepharoplasty & Brow Rejuvenation
Heavy or drooping upper eyelids and low-set brows can create a tired or aged appearance, and in some cases, even affect your vision. Upper blepharoplasty combined with brow rejuvenation helps to restore a more youthful, open look. At OCL Vision, our expert oculoplastic surgeons deliver natural, subtle results tailored to your features.
Eye Bag Removal
Under-eye bags or puffiness can be difficult to treat with skincare alone and often lead to a tired or worn-out appearance. At OCL Vision, we offer advanced lower eyelid blepharoplasty to remove or reduce eye bags safely and effectively. Our consultants focus on restoring a smooth, refreshed look with minimal downtime.
Lower Eyelid Correction
If your lower eyelid is turning inwards (entropion), outwards (ectropion), or has been affected by previous surgery or ageing, it may cause both discomfort and cosmetic concern. Our oculoplastic surgeons specialise in correcting these issues with precision. We aim to restore both function and natural appearance, using the most appropriate surgical approach for you.
Removal of Eye Cysts
Eye cysts such as chalazia or styes can be uncomfortable, unsightly, and sometimes persistent despite home treatment. At OCL Vision, we offer expert in-clinic removal using safe, minor surgical techniques. Our consultants ensure a swift, clean procedure with minimal recovery time.
Ptosis Surgery
Ptosis is a condition where the upper eyelid droops over the eye, which can impair vision and affect confidence. Our ptosis surgery is performed by leading oculoplastic surgeons and aims to lift the eyelid into a more natural position. The result is clearer vision and a more alert, balanced appearance.

Bespoke Consultation
This is an opportunity for patients to discuss all their eyelid concerns with the surgeon, allowing for a collaborative approach in developing the best plan to achieve their desired results. Reviewing old photographs can often be beneficial, as it provides the surgeon with a clearer understanding of the patient’s natural eyelid shape and structure. This helps in achieving a natural, refreshed outcome during surgery.
Personalised Treatment
At OCL Vision, we believe in a personalised approach, recognising that each person’s facial aesthetics and goals are unique. Our expert surgeons take the time to understand your concerns and will guide you through the most suitable treatment options to help you achieve a refreshed, natural-looking result. Together, we will develop a tailored surgical plan that best meets your needs, ensuring you feel confident and well-informed every step of the way.
Preparing for surgery
Our team will guide you through any necessary paperwork and explain how to use your post-operative eye drops, as well as how to best look after your eyes in the days and weeks following surgery. You will meet your surgeon again before the procedure and have ample opportunity to ask any questions.
Procedure
When you arrive for your appointment, our experienced, friendly, and empathetic team of nurses will welcome you and put you at ease. During the surgery, your surgeon will reassure you and talk you through each step, helping you feel calm and in control. Please expect there to be some swelling and bruising, we advise you to use ice packs.
Aftercare & Results
Follow-up appointments are key to ensuring a smooth recovery, with your surgeon monitoring progress and addressing any concerns. Swelling and bruising are normal and usually subside within a couple of weeks. We recommend using cold compresses, keeping your head elevated while sleeping, and avoiding strenuous activities for at least two weeks. Our team is always available for any questions or support throughout your recovery.

Cosmetic eye surgery FAQ's
View knowledge baseWhat is the recovery time for cosmetic eye surgery?
Recovery time varies depending on the specific procedure and individual factors. Generally, patients can expect initial swelling and bruising to subside within 1-2 weeks for surgeries like blepharoplasty and ptosis correction. Full recovery, where the results are visible, may take a few months. Non-surgical treatments typically have shorter recovery periods, often allowing you to resume normal activities within a few days.
Are the results of cosmetic eye surgery permanent?
While cosmetic eye surgery can provide long-lasting results, it does not stop the natural aging process. Procedures like blepharoplasty and ptosis correction can significantly improve appearance for many years, but factors such as skin elasticity, lifestyle, and genetics will continue to influence your appearance over time. Regular maintenance treatments and good skincare can help prolong the results.
What are the potential risks and side effects of cosmetic eye surgery?
As with any surgical procedure, cosmetic eye surgery carries potential risks and side effects. These may include infection, scarring, dry eyes, difficulty closing the eyes, and changes in vision. Non-surgical treatments may have side effects like bruising, swelling, and temporary discomfort. It is crucial to discuss all potential risks with your surgeon and follow their pre- and post-operative care instructions to minimise complications and ensure the best possible outcome.
